1 Billion Smartphones Sold In 2013 :

As we announced yesterday the results down to Samsung for the period from the fourth quarter of 2013 , IDC has released sales figures of smartphones in the world in 2013. Korean is widely leader.

For the first time , the smartphone industry has surpassed the one billion units sold over the period of 2013 . But be careful , these are passed by the manufacturers and not terminal devices sold to end customers. Store inventories , even unabsorbed , are included in this figure. The increase compared to 2012 is obvious since the figure has increased by more than 38% ( 725 million units ) .
When you take the details of manufacturers , we find , unsurprisingly, Samsung lead with nearly 314 million smartphones elapsed ( +42.9 % compared to 2012). Apple, in second position , accounts for only 153 million smartphones and a 12.9% growth . For the rest of the ranking are Huawei, LG and Lenovo. Exit HTC or Sony which are relegated to the bottom.
