samsung : The Samsung S Gear Formalized, Curved And Autonomous :

More or less simultaneously with the LG G Watch R, Samsung announced a new smartwatch in Tizen, the Gear S, with a different, more autonomous approach.

Its design is reminiscent of the Gear but more refined, which is clearly a good thing. We are entitled to a flexible strap along with a 2 "display 360x480 Super AMOLED curved to fit the shape of the wrist.

The big feature of the S Gear is that it is equipped to be autonomous, the program: 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and heart rate monitor from a long list of sensors. The Gear S is able to receive calls and messages online or via smartphone (3G switch / Bluetooth connection is available), the location Nano SIM is inside, along with the heart rate sensor some connectors and charging.

As Gear With features a GPS and the ability to receive data mobility without being connected to a smartphone, it also lets you use a system of pedestrian navigation (in partnership with HERE, yep) and provide autonomous sports tracking (via S Health or Nike +), and he seems, complete.
The smartwatch is certified IP67 (dust, water), gets 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a 300mAh battery that offers, according to Samsung, 2 days of battery life (we imagine without using GPS or mobile data ).
A product that looks nice on paper, remains to be seen what is comfort and functionality for use level. Samsung plays on several tables with the use of Tizen for most of its watches but also with Android Wear Gear Live, which does not seem to be specially promoted by the brand.
The Samsung S Gear will be presented at IFA in a few days and should be offered for sale in October to a current yet undisclosed price.
Samsung also unveiled the Gear Circle, headphones that signal the arrival of notifications (and incoming calls) and which form a sort of strange collar when not in use (via magnets).

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Could Have A Metal Shell :

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Could Have A Metal Shell, Samsung Galaxy S5, Mobiles News,

The Samsung Galaxy S5 could inaugurate the metal shell as expected from the Korean manufacturer. This is the least so say the latest rumors circulating on the future super smartphone from Samsung. We do not know yet whether it will be of metal or aluminum, but plastic should fall by the wayside. So expect a slight rise in terminal. Samsung has already ordered samples of metal hulls, made in Europe, and then send them to Asia for a series of tests, including on the network reception with a metal cover. It should not end up with a Antenna Gate on the back! We also learn that the hull remain removable to access the battery and thus the change in case of failure. A memory expansion port should take place under the hood.
In addition to this possible new design, the Samsung Galaxy S5, available later in 2014, should carry a camera 16 million pixels with an image stabilizer OIS.
