Motorola Launches Android Smartphone Moto X :
Moto X is the first smartphone designed by Motorola under the influence of Google, which bought the company in 2011. Featuring a 4.7-inch screen, terminal, introduced last week, offer many customization options and control functions unpublished, including a speech recognition system still active.
It has a 4.7-inch AMOLED screen that displays 1280 x 720 pixels with a screen of 316 dots per inch density. Under the hood, there is a system on a chip (SoC) "house" heart eightfold named X8 Mobile Computing System. It consists of a dual heart Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7 GHz processor, Adreno 320 graphics chip and two quadruple heart Motorola processors. These are designed specifically to manage embedded sensors and the system of permanent voice recognition, so as not to encumber autonomy. In this area, the Moto X receives a battery of 2200 mAh supposed to provide 24 hours of use "mixed". The processor is served by 2 GB of RAM, while the storage capacity can be 16 to 32 GB The Moto X is compatible with all major cellular networks, including 4G/LTE, and it has a GPS, an NFC chip, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections to the picture, it uses a 10-megapixel sensor with autofocus and LED flash and a 1.2 megapixel front camera, like the other one can save the video in Full HD 1080p. The OS is Android 4.2.2 found version, which is somewhat surprising given that Android 4.3 is already available for the Google Nexus line of devices.
Moto X, "made in USA"
If the specifications are nothing exceptional, Moto X is characterized by the new features it offers. First, there is a system of active voice recognition constantly relying on the Google Now technology. Simply contact the smartphone to perform certain actions, like getting the weather forecast, set the alarm, search or assisted navigation. Motorola has also worked on the picture, which is active for two small shakes of the wrist. You can then hang a picture by pressing anywhere on the screen. In the same spirit of ease of use, the notification system is displayed on the screen when the phone is in standby. Icons symbolize the type of content (email, SMS, chat, etc..) So that the user knows what it is without having to turn on the camera.
Moto X will be assembled in the United States in an installed plant in Fort Worth, Texas. This allows Motorola to offer many customization options. Since the website Motorcycle Maker, buyers can choose the color of the back cover and the front cover, to engrave a personal message, choose the storage capacity (16GB or 32GB) and provide a photo that will be preloaded in the background of the screen. All these options will be processed directly from the factory and the Moto X will be delivered in four days in the U.S.. The smartphone should arrive on the market in late August or early September, and costs 199 dollars (150 euros) for a two-year subscription to a mobile package.
A "Google Play" version coming
Moto X will be marketed in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Motorola has not said anything about its availability in Europe, which seems unlikely, if only because of the manufacturing process. It would indeed install a production site in Europe to offer the same customization service while ensuring short delivery times. Another problem is the need to locate the interface as well as the packaging and documentation in all languages of the Old Continent.
Asked by Futura-Sciences, the communication service Motorola France has indicated that its home market was not on the agenda, but the Moto X was "the first model of a wider product portfolio ". In other words, Moto X will become a range with new models coming for the European market. Google also confirmed that "Google Play" version of Moto X will be launched soon. It will be the same model, but with an original version of Android, or custom interface without additional software like those imposed by the operators. In the U.S., there are already Google Play editions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
